SPECIAL NOTE:  Frazer E. Pahlke (June) was listed as deceased in the Reunion Book.

We have been informed that Frazer is alive and well, please accept our sincere apology.

FLASH – We made contact with Miss Spraetz, and she apologized for not attending.

She said that she was impressed reading our profiles.

She was told that we may have a 55th, and she said that she would put it on her calendar.

Hi Mike: Many thanks to you and the committee for a wonderful evening of memories.  I met several classmates I haven't seen in 50 years.  We had lots of laughs and did a lot of catching up.  During the evening, after talking to several classmates, I concluded that the class of 1959 was a great class and accomplished many things over the past 50 years.  I'm proud to be a small part of the LTHS "59" class and many thanks for making me aware of it...again.

Best to you and all the members of the reunion committee.

Mike, Writing to thank you and the reunion committee once more for a wonderful evening and most memorable event.  It was sure nice seeing so many past friends again.  You all created an atmosphere for socializing that was perfect; space to walk about, good food & drink, and good music.  Special thanks also to those who managed to save photographs for  50 years. Wow, awakened reminiscence!  Thank you all very much,  Al Wehrmeister

Mike, thanks so very much for all your efforts and the work of the reunion team.  My opinion is that it was a huge success.

I plan on writing a note to Barbara Cook to thank her as well for the tour presentation and organization.  I had no idea that Lane even had a alumni coordinator, an archive room and an alumni store.

You must be pleased with the turn out.  I ran into people that were from distant out of the Chicago area that came in just for the event.

Congratulations!!!!

Mike, we wanted to let you know that we enjoyed the reunion tremendously. Everything went smoothly and we enjoyed the dinner at the White Eagle and talking to classmates.  We especially liked the tour of Lane Tech and seeing how well it has been kept up. It's nice to know that some traditions continue.  Bravo!

Mike...I didn't get the chance to greet you at the reunion, but wanted to let you know that I had the time of my life!  Thank you. Thank you and the committee for all your work--the planning and making the dream come true.  These words of gratitude seem so insufficient.

One more thing--seeing old friends was a simply wonderful thing in itself, but also, being greeted so warmly and genuinely after 50 years by guys who were not really my buddies back then was equally wonderful.  That's the miracle of an event like that.  And unforgettable.

Peace always.  Charlie Matz.

Mike, I just wanted to thank you and Torello and your committee for the great job you did on the 1959 reunion on the weekend before last. I know it must have been a major project for you. My wife and I thought it was a really well run event and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The White Eagle was a great venue.

Obviously, it was also great to reconnect with some folks that I've not seen for a long time.  And, also, thanks for your patience with my last-minute sign-up and payment.

Mike,

You and your team did a hell of a job!  It was fun and good to some of my old buddies from the past.

We had a couple at our table from Naperville, IL who was in the June class.  Forgot their name, Sorry

Stay healthy,  Bob Caramusa

Dear Mike and the other 59 Reunion Committee Members,

Thank you for emailing Lane Class of 59 Reunion Wrap Up.  Unfortunately, I was unable to claim the Reunion Committee's prize for coming the longest distance from the east coast of Australia where we serve as missionaries. However, the memorabilia and photos from www.watermanil.com/laneclassof59/Index.htm

brought me the remembrance of my buddies like Bill Ruby from Miss Papp's division, singing "Go Lane Go" and then tears.

We can all look forward to attending our next Reunion...

in Christ's Way, Fred Schaeffer, June '59

Mike,

Finally got back to California after combining the Lane Tech High School, Class of 1959 reunion and spending time with

a lot of other relatives and friends in the Chicago area that I have not seen for a long time.

I wanted to congratulate you and your committee for doing an outstanding job in putting together the reunion at the White Eagle, and arranging a wonderful tour of Lane.  The events at both locations went smoothly and were very enjoyable to be at.  The tour of Lane brought back fond memories of a time in life well spent on getting an education, expanding your horizons and socializing at a great school, and something to be proud of.  The reunion at the White Eagle was an excellent choice of locations, with good food and ample room to move around and strike up old acquaintances and make new ones as well.

All in all, again I would like to thank you and the committee for your tireless effort and a great job in putting on the affair.

Regards,  John Mika
