Your reunion committee discussed holding a raffle at the reunion banquet to raise money to make a donation to the Alumni Association for the Scholarship Fund on behalf of the classes of 1959.  We also discussed a silent auction.  In both cases we have been advised by legal counsel that permits and other legalities would not produce the desired results.

Therefore; the committee is asking that all of our classmates form the January and June classes of 1959 consider a tax deductible personal donation to the Scholarship Fund (see the attached article).
